Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to everyone. I know this is a little early (by one day), but we've already done the "halloween thing" and dressed up. On Saturday at Aaron's mom's church they had a "trunk-or-treat". We dressed Colton up and went. That was an experience. Colton isn't quite old enough to understand Halloween, so the first thing was he did NOT want to be in his costume. It was quite cute. We dressed him up as "Pablo" from Nickelodean's Backyardagains. At the party, all he wanted to do was run around. Everone else was doing it, right? He also wasn't too excited to go around to all the cars and gather candy. Debbie ended up holding him while he kicked and screamed, while I held open his back saying "Trick-or-Treat". It was a hard night, and I know both Debbie and I were pooped after the event.

We are done with "trick-or-treating" for the year. Tomorrow night on Halloween we will just sit back, relax, eat chili, watch Transformers, and pass out candy.

Ok, It has been a long time (this is starting to sound like all my journal entries when I was in Jr. High). As most of my friends and family know, there has been a lot going on, so it's been hard to find time to update my blog. Among things, I have also wanted to post pictures from our family beach trip back in August (see, I told you it's been awhile).

For now I just want to post portions from the e-mail I sent to my family and friends at the beginning of this month. This will explain why the absence from blogging.
"To say the least, we have had much going on in our lives. First thing I must mention is that our little boy, Colton will be an older brother. That's right. Aaron and I are going to have another baby. As of today, I am 12 weeks along. The baby is due on April 14th. As my sis-in-law pointed out--that is the day before tax day! LOL. We are all very excited to be adding to our family. We do want to find out what color to be buying, so when the time comes, we will find out the gender and will let you all know as well.
"The next big thing is that Aaron and I are moving. We are taking the next step in our lives and we are buying a townhouse. Again, we are very excited. Although, there are a lot of mixed feelings of being nervous, anxious, scared, etc.....This is something neither one of us has done before. We are learning lots of new things that are at times very overwhelming. But we know it is the right step for us.
"Last week we had to make a trip to the hospital for Aaron. He was doing a tire rotation at work. As he stood up, he hit his head on the side view mirror of the car. At first, he thought it was nothing, but a few minutes later he got sick in the bathroom. After he got sick, he passed out. His co-workers came into to check on him and found him on the floor. His asst. manager, Kyle, called me and told me to come and get Aaron because he was blacking out (he didn't mention that he hit his head and might have a concussion). I, of course had a million things running through my mind on what happened. Fortunately, I had a friend and neighbor watch Colton for me so I could get Aaron. I took him to the ER where he was checked out and had a cat scan run. The doctor let him go saying everything was fine and he didn't have any limitations. The next day (Wednesday) was Aaron's normal day off, so we had some things to do, but for the most part, he took it easy. He went to work on Thursday and went about his normal routine. He started to feel sick again and ended up having to go to urgent care and then back to the hospital to have an MRI. The doctor at urgent care told him to rest (no work) until Monday. On Monday, he followed up with the urgent care doctor, and was able to go back to work. Everything is fine now with him and the MRI came back clear. It was just a very eventful few days (and scary too)!"
Move in date for our new house was October 15th. We were supposed to close and start being able to move on the 12th. But because of some very frustrating events that were out of our control, we were not able to do that. Looking back I think it was all for the best. Here are some pictures of our new place. More will come as soon as I am able to take some:

Front view

Aaron and Colton getting out of the car in our new parking space.

Unlocking the door for the first time.

Of course, Colton insisted being the first one to enter.

Some packing tape Aaron put on Colton. As you can see, he was none too pleased.

By the way, update on baby week. I am now 15 weeks along. We find out on November 12 whether we need blue or pink.
